A Cena - the best food in Richmond? Probably.

we had a great time at a cena two nights ago. the balsamic chicken was a huge hit. The rabbit was very good, but I felt it lacked sufficient depth of flavour. That said, however, the meat itself was cooked to perfection. I think the biggest plus for us was the service, which was some of the best we've had in a long time. The recommendations were spot on, and it was apparent that the staff/ownership really cared about the food and wine. This made the experience for me. Go check it out.

A Cena was booked by myself for friends - a couple who know and adore good italian food. Whilst they said they enjoyed their meals, unfortunately it was the service that let A Cena down. The staff didn't appear to have much knowledge or passion for the food they were responsible for - which isn't common for a true italian restaurant. Sure, they'd take the order and deliver the food but without being able to make recommendations, check up once food had been delivered, the experience wasnt amazing

A Cena is my favourite restaurant in the Richmond area. Always friendly service and an interesting menu with inspired dishes and different flavours. Rabbit and duck dishes are always spot on.

A top quality neighbourhood restaurant. good food, i assume a varied menu - will try it again as looks like the menu changes from the type of menu. Good wine list and not silly prices. Wine automatically decanted - always sign of good service.

Had a wonderful dinner at A Cena, can especially recommend the cheesecake for dessert, the best I've ever tasted!

Sunday lunch 21/9/08. Set menu as good as ever and generous portions. What struck me particularly was the excellent service - attentive without swamping you, and cheerful.

A Cena in Richmond was a good evening. Smart enough for a business meal but also realxed and friendly. Food was very good, menu is short but all good options. Overall good value for money.

Consistently delivers above its price point. Exellent N Italian food and well balanced wine list of wines from all italian regions well laid out in the menu according to characteristics rather than wine region.

Four of us visited A Cena on a Monday evening for my birthday. I expected it to be extremely quiet but not so, by 8 it was relatively busy. The waiters were great %u213 informative and very attentive without being annoying. We had a variety of starters & mains; the food was delicious and excellent wine at a reasonable price. All of us enjoyed it thoroughly and I'm sure will be back in the near future, although on a weekend I%u219d expect the need to pre book.

The restaurant does not look very big from outside, but in the inside it looks spacious. The decor is nice and they have made sure that the tables are laid out well, giving a nice feeling of space. The food is very good - infact a starter and a main course is quite a bit to chew on. Though the wine list is good enough, take care in ordering the right one. Some kind of recommendation with each main course would be nice. Will surely go back. Service staff is very attentive without being intrusive.
