I made the booking for my girlfriend and I on the basis of the set menu offer. The service was good and the food was excellent. Under the offer it was exceptionally good value for money. The restaurant was very quiet (on a Saturday night) with mostly hotel guests dining so there's not much "atmosphere". Great once but probably wouldn't go back.

We visited 66A using the Toptable 3 courses for £15 offer. Although this was supposed to include a free glass of wine we were told this was no longer available. However, I would still strongly recommend this restaurant for it's delicious food - traditional British with a modern twist. Options on 13th Nov included caramelised onion & blue cheese tart, leek celery & cheese soup, Oxford lamb stew (perfect), smoked haddock with mash, cumberland sausage, apple and cinnamon crumble, rasberry parfait

The restaurant was not that busy for a Friday night, however it is a little out of town. The dining room is decorated quite nicely, although I felt it was a little bright. The service was attentive and friendly, we had booked with the special Top Table offer, which the maitre'd was well aware of, however, we went off the main menu as it was more appealing. Food was great and arrived in good time. We were served coffees in the comfortable drawing room opposite the main restaurant.

My husband and daughter chose the beef at the Cotswold Lodge Hotel and it was delicious. I chose fish and mostly bone. White wine was warm. Staff were very friendly.

The restaurant was quite quiet although it was a week night. Perhaps a bit of music would have improved the atmosphere. Food was lovely and the staff were attentive. One member of staff was not aware of the top table deal but it was cleared up accordingly.

The food at 66a, The Cotwold Lodge Hotel was reasonably good, well presented and tasty. The service was pleasant but we had to prompt the staff to bring out the side orders that came with our main course. The ambience however was very lacking, very quiet even on a Friday night.

We had lunch at Cotswold lodge - Booked the table for 2pm - arrived at 2pm to be told the chef is switcing the ovens off and we need to hurry up. Was handed the menu and given ten seconds to choose whilst the annoying waiter hovered over us, he would not even take a drinks order first and insisted we order straight away. I had travelled from London to take my Nan for lunch so was very dissapointed by the way we were served. I would not recommend this place for this reason. Food was nice.

Good food and good service. Pleasant surroundings however a little on the quiet side.

I went for the sunday lunch offer and actually the food was lovely and very good value for money. I had actually changed the booking time by phone and I dont think the restaurant ever got the message so when we arrived I think they were a bit annoyed that they obviously thought we were late. The waiter never offered us a drink first off and we felt rushed into making a food order as apparently the chef was about to stop for the day. The ambience was nice.

We went to 66a @ Cotwsold Lodge Hotel on a Saturday night and had a 3 course set menu with wine for £15. The food was nice but not amazing; for the price it was very good value. The service was mixed - the staff were friendly, but we felt a bit rushed. The interior is very nice looking. It's the sort of place you dress up for, which made it a bit fun! The other diners were generally older, so not the sort of place that I (as a 27 y.o.) would have a celebration dinner because of the subdued vibe.

66a @ The Cotswolds Lodge is a lovely tranqile restaurant, close to the centre of Oxford although you wouldn't know it once inside. The food, wine and service were excellent and it's definately worth a visiit.

66a @ The Cotswold Lodge Hotel is a decent hotel and resturant. The special offer of 3 courses for £15 is great value, even if the menu is a little restrictive. The service was relaxed (they were quiet when we arrived and took our order in the lounge area before inviting us through). Coming from Oxford I was a little surprised that I hadn't heard of them before and will return to try their full menu.

The Cotswold lodge offered a nice quiet venue for lunch and their lamb from the grill was especially delicious, although some of the other dishes seemed over complicated.

visited cotswold lodge on early sat evening, 5 tables were occupied which isn't bad for a hotel restaurant in oxford. Food was good but not amazing. The cheeseboard was impressive generous. Staff were ok but trying too hard, less haste... Starters and mains came quickly but dessert and the bill took ages, irritating as it wasnt that busy. Good value with the offer tho.

The staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming and the food was good too. The only downside was that it was very quiet.

66a @ The Cotswold Lodge Hotel - nice food although the service wasnt the best. Went on a Tuesday night so it was very quiet. Nice decor and definitely a good place for a romantic meal. Had a 25% discount from toptable so that helped the bill. But it was still reasonably priced - £45 for 2 courses for 2 people including tip and drinks.

It was a quiet lunchtime at 66a @ The Cotswold Lodge, only two tables on the day we went. The Cream of Cucumber Soup was excellent but the chicken that followed was quite dry. My friend had the haddock which she said was good. All in all, a pleasant meal and very attentive staff.

We took my mother-in-law along for (obviously) mother's day. We had no idea of what it would be like as when I booked there was no raring on here. We were really impressed; the food was superb, the staff fantastic and the mood comfortable. We loved it! Check it out if you want value for money in a non-stuffy but special environment. great for family lunches.

We dined at 66a at the Cotswold Lodge hotel, taking advantage of the special menu offer. The food was average - we both had the butternut squash soup, fish, and chocolate cake with ice cream. My rating of each would be excellent, average, and below average, respectively. Surprisingly, dessert was the worst, as the cake was dry, and it's pretty hard to mess up dessert. However, the ambience was quite nice and modern for an old English hotel, and the service was very friendly and attentive.
