Very high standards - all round good place to go.

Good variety of dishes on the menu and cooked well. However the ambience was somewhat lacking. The management could be more welcoming and friendly for a local restaurant. We didn't really feel encouraged to come back.

great food & service at 3 Monkeys.

I went to the 3 Monkeys for dinner with my family last night and had an excellent evening. The food was so delicious and really authentic. My parents grew up in India and were delighted to find such good indian food local to us. The service was great too with really friendly people who knew about their food. We had a really excellent evening and I would definitely recommend it for people who want a reasonably priced excellent indian meal!

3 Monkeys has improved in terms of food and service after its diastrous decline until about a year ago. There is still an element of preparing the same sauce for a number of dishes, but there are also more dishes where the meat is cooked on the bone with correspondingly better results. Recommend the bhindi, fish haryali jal pari, lamb chops cooked on the tawa. Still a shame that the only paratha they do is with mint and that there is a chilli cheese nan - my Indian father was a ghast!

Some dishes were good but some were ordinary. the tandoori chicken, although a speciality, was plain and the chicken was not of good quality. My lamb main dish was nice and the rice and naan were good. They are trying too hard for modern indian when they should stick to classics. I dont think ill be going back in a hurry.

The food was good at 3 Monkeys. We had 'Chicken tikka' as a starter, which was disappointing. But the main course was awesome. Loved the 'Dal Makhani', got a take away too. The service was really slow. This, we thought was a major drawback at 3 Monkeys. We waited for 40 mins befor eour starter arrived and then almost an hour before we were served our main course. Hope they work on improving their service!

Second time I've been to the 3 monkeys, the food has been excellent both times. We were in a large group so the service was a little slow and they got a few drinks orders wrong, but the nstaff and friendly and the atmosphere good.

Lovely restaurant - soft shell crab for starter and the kebabs particularly good. Could do with the curry being a bit spicier.

We had lunch here on a Saturday, and the restaurant was pretty quiet, but we had a party of six so we had plenty of atmosphere between us. The food was lively, very light and tasty, and lots of it. I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes good spicy food. Service was great and will definitely be visiting again, but probably for the evening rather than lunch.

We know the 3 Monkeys for good food, but the service was very slow, we waiting 45mins between starters and mains, then they only bought 5 of the 6 mains out and had to be prompted to bring the last one. However when it arrived food was very good. They were out of stock of our first two choices of wines as well.

Three Monkeys: Food is fantastic and there's so much of it! They kindly packed up half our meal for us as take-away as we couldn't finish it! Very very good!
