12 Temple Place: Absolutely fantastic layout and atmosphere. Food portions were slightly small, and, in-line with early 90s "nouvelle cuisine", slightly pretentious. It's also pricey (I forgot to remind them about the 20 % off via TT), with the cheaper wines about £35. Presentation and flavours were great, though. Above all, the staff were fantastic, discreet, polite and intricately aware of good British serving courtesy. Good for a special occasion.

Great lunch as always. The modern take on Scottish cuisine by the new chef is wonderful every time...

Food was beautiful - just a shame that the restaurant wasn't busier as it would 've made for more of an livelier atmosphere - apart from that it was amazing.

Temple Place - in a nuthell - average. Food was ok, but overpriced. Nil ambience, but great if you wanted a very quiet business lunch. Not sure i would retrun with such a plethora of other more exciting options. Mauve Bar is pretty, pity its all very quiet though

I took my girlfriend to 12 Temple Place Restaurant for her birthday and we had a very lovely experience. The ambience was cosy and intimate without being overly busy, and the view to the garden courtyard is very refreshing! The food was delicious and well presented, with well-thought portion sizes. However, the highlight was the service: friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and unobtrusive. We would definitely be back again and would recommend it.
