We took advantage of the 5 courses for £20 offer and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food. There was a pumpkin soup amouse bouche, salmon with wasabi, slow cooked lamb, granita and cheese or meringue for desert. It is excellent value for money and you could have a £30 bottle of wine and leave having paid £35 a head. But I would recommend treating yourself to an aperitif, splurging on their excellent wine list and having a coffee and brandy afterwards. Delicious.

Dinner on a Tuesday night at 1 Lombard Street - Brasserie was a delight. The location is very convenient to Bank and the crowd was mostly professional financial type. The staff was courteous and helpful. Portions were small, though the food was quite tasty - the set price menu is an excellent value and highly recommended!

Although the food was pleasant ( and good value compared with its normal prices) the Brasserie at 1 Lombard Street lacked atmosphere on a Monday evening. The bar was unable to make a whisky mac.

I visited 1 Lombard St brasserie with my boyfriend to take advantage of the 5 courses for £19.50 offer. Overall it was a very nice evening - the meal deal is good value for money and you get ample food portions however I wouldn't recommend going on a Friday evening. As the restaurant is in the heart of the city I can imagine it would be a great place to go for a lunch midweek but on a Friday night there was little atmosphere and it was only a third full. Visited 1 Lombard St Brasserie on a Thursday night and it was pretty busy but not very noisy. From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent (despite the fact we were dining with the 5 courses for £19.50 offer). From the first course (pumpkin soup) to the last (cheese platter), the food was really fantastic and I'd definitely go back.

another pleasant evening at No.1 Lombard St brasserie. We went for the £19.50 set menu which was tasty and well presented. The service is extremely good and I enjoyed the food.

1 Lombard Street was a very nice overall experience - good food, good service, and good venue. Only disappointment was the farmhouse cheese platter, which oddly consisted of goats cheese and not much else (certainly no hard farmhouse cheese).

Excellant venue,thank god for the T/T discount as this restaurant is very expensive.Food was average,but the service and staff were very pleasant,in all had a pleasant evening.

Food was lovely and great value with the Toptable deal. Did find a piece of shell from what looked like a shellfish in my vegetarian dish. Though would eat there again.

Second time there for the £19.50 5 course taster menu and just as impressed as first time. Really - outstanding value for money, great food and a buzzing dining room. Eating in the City normally fills me with suited and booted fear - but this place delivers something different and special

1 Lombard was a lovely restaurant. The food was really delicious although portions were a little on the small side. The offer was very good value for money and i would definitely dine there again.

Great Value given the special offer - otherwise, not sure. Excellent food, good wine, but felt like I was eating in a chain restaurant, not a great ambiance.

It was good value for money because it was a 5 course special offer. I have been there before and like the food and atmosphere.
