The most exciting thing about 1 Blossom Street is the hidden location of Liverpool Street - it's like discovering a hidden gem. It's a lovely restaurant with a delicious chocolate and Baileys dessert.

I took a colleague out for business lunch. The food was quite disappointing. Scallops with saffron risotto cakes were the worst. The risotto was extremely dry and there was a dry crust on the outside. The rest of the dishes was poorly executed (seafood salad was bland and seemed pre-processed. The poached egg in my colleague's salad was dry on the outside, i.e. quite hard and tough on the edges - very strange). I would not recommend this place, esp for the prices they ask.

Blossom Street is a good venue for a quick, pleasant, business lunch - good location for those in the Liverpool Street Area.

Despite the hype, I have never had a 'great' experience at 1 Blossom Street. The menu is good on paper; varied and tempting, and the food on Friday night wasn't bad at all. The tasty risotto was neither floating in stock nor too salty and my fillet of beef main was well cooked, atop some creamy mash. My parter's starter and main (both salmon) were also well prepared. Even the dessert - a self-contained circle of tira misu was yummy. No, it's the service and ambience that always let it down.
