Lacking, wanted to live it...

Liked: The outside of the property and surroundings are just beautiful set near a golf course and gorgeous brick VA buildings with white columns very stately looking regal and formal however, the outside is just a facade because the interiors are inside need of updating and a good cleaning. The restaurant tavern was good and fair prices and open until 10pm every night!
Disliked: The rooms are in need of a complete refresh, stuck in the 1980’s and old drab outdated furniture and dirty. Inch of dust behind furniture and on lampshades. Mold in shower and they tried to update bathrooms with new vanity and new shower head and new wallpaper but left the old tile flooring and old tile in shower and old bathtub and old doors/knobs from 80’s?90’s so it’s just awful tub actually had new white caulking in it but you could see the black mold forming behind it. Pretty surroundings, old world charm

Liked: Nice grounds. Very comfortable bed
Disliked: Elevator is old and too slow. Fortunately we only used it one time.

Great location and amenities

Liked: It was very clean and close to activities, food, etc. without being in the heart of Richmond.
Disliked: There was a concern that the exterior doors were not locked as they should be. Also there should be rooms that are positively pet free always for those with allergies.

Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous...

Liked: Gorgeous setting, architecture and views. Excellent breakfast included in the room. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
Disliked: No water in the rooms even for purchase. No bar soap, only body wash but for what do you use washing your face? I asked at the desk and they gave me a bar.
