My overall experience at Wingate was not satisfactory. I wouldn't recommend staying at this location and I have no plans of returning.

Liked: The room itself was decent.
Disliked: Called 2 days before my scheduled check in requesting an early check in time (2.5 hours early). When I arrived I was told I couldn't check in. I then called an hour later and was told to call back in another hour. I decided to go back to the hotel to ask for a refund and suddenly my room was available. I drove almost 3 hours for an event in Lancaster. I wasn't happy with my experience at Wingate.

I did not stay

Liked: Booking. Com neglected to tell me that the hotel was closed for renovations. I showed up to find out. I was turned away. After a very long day I then had to find another hotel which was certainly a down grade. I was unable to even contact booking. Com to find out if I was going to be charged. I don't think I was. Nothing has hit my account. I paid about the same price at a motel. Not a hotel. The beds were old and beat and I had a lousy night. I'm not sure how this could happen. Of course at 830 on a Saturday night all of the surrounding hotels were booked or only had one room that cost more than it should have. I guess my issue is with booking . Com not the inn at Lancaster. I feel like you dropped the ball and now I am Leary about this happening again.

Liked: The motel was dirty roaches stnks and just nasty

Liked: Place was under construction. Room was not cleaned. There was a hamburger bun in the toilet. If they didn't clean the toilet what else was unclean. They put additional holds on my credit card even though I did not stay. Had to dispute the charges. Would never go back.
