Great gym. Shula's is a lovely restaurant.

Liked: Staff, facility, location excellent.
Disliked: Phone system does not enable you to contact the right services which meant when they are busy you can't get to where you need to speak to.

My problem came when me and my wife went to Shula's steak house. After we were seated by the older woman we did not receive service for at least 10 minutes. We then decided to leave and the same woman who seated us said have a nice day. Never asked how everything was or why were we leaving. It was not a packed house at all. It pretty much ruined my first night at the hotel.

Room was very nice and clean. Hotel overall was very impressive. We loved the views and proximity to the theatre we went to. Staff was very friendly (front desk/concierge and especially valet service out front of the property).

Disliked: No signs posted when getting off the elevator on 9th floor as to which rooms went to the left and which rooms went to the right. For example, my room 902 went to the left but we did not know this and "guessed" right. Also your marketing of the duel shower head was great. The water pressure was 50% of what it should have been and took twice as long to shower.

Liked: Location is fantastic - adjacent to Times Sq and next door to subway
Disliked: Check-in clerk was very unfriendly. Room was not ready on check-in despite it being past 4pm. The check-in clerk couldn’t care less and when we asked for an idea of when the room might be ready she shrugged her shoulders and said “I’ve no idea”. When asked for a ball-park time as to when we should return, again she just said she had no clue. Very unwelcoming attitude. She should not be on the front desk.“Resort Fee” is a rip off and a farce. Westin is not paying for the upkeep of NYC as a resort, and to be charging for it scandalous.Hotel does not impart an atmosphere of quality or luxury. Lobby is full of people lying on the couches with empty pizza and McDonald’s packing strewn about. More resembles a doss-house.

Liked: The property is located in the heart of NYC. The staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable.
Disliked: Mould in the rooms

Liked: Hotel was clean and well located
Disliked: I didnt like that the 35 daily destination fee was not included in the rate upfront and that basically forces you to eat in the hotel. When you pick a hotel you want to pick where to stay not where to eat. I didnt like they didnt inform prior booking

Liked: Location is great if you'd like to be in the center of the action.
Disliked: Not the place for you if you'd like to be peaceful during your stay. There's noise from outside most of the night.
