Nice room for the rate. Great location to a lot of venues. No microwave or refrigerator in room, but if you ask at the time of check in, they will bring it for you. Love their soap and shampoo.

Stayed another night in Chicago, but at a different hotel where I was treated my age and felt very welcomed! I know this hotel is right across the House of Blues, but I won't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Liked: Clean.
Disliked: Didn't realize it was strictly a business hotel - felt out of place and it didn't help when one of the employees kept an eye on me. From the courtyard to the elevator like I was a hoodlum - wasn't very welcoming in that point.

Liked: The Westin River North has a great central location near many riverside attractions. It's not the only hotel in the area by any means, but it's possibly the closest to all the things we care about - mostly many fine and/or famous Chicago restaurants.
Disliked: Someone in an adjacent room (so it seemed) was smoking weed, and the smell was creeping into our room and we don't like the smell much. Fortunately it wasn't overwhelming, just mildly annoying.

Liked: Location is great, right on the river near Magnificent Mile.
Disliked: The room they gave me initially (Room 313) had a very noisy HVAC. When a technician came in, he said it was normal, and that bigger rooms were noisier because thy had bigger HVACs. I asked for another room (Room 1001) and it was very quiet.
