Love the Waldorf. My only complaint is the costly in-room wireless. Meals are expensive, but I expected this. Rooms are spacious and staff is wonderful. The highlight is the Sunday brunch. My favourite New York hotel!

Pros:  Beautiful rooms; excellent staff; spotless,
Cons:  Expensive wireless.

An excellent choice for women, from the period decoration to the absolutely more than adequate powder room and attached bathroom. It has a certain old world charm to it.

Pros:  Undoubtedly as noted by other reviewers, the architecture and interiors are just a delight to experience. I had the pleasure of staying in the king suite, which was pretty generous in terms of space and character. It was an experience.
Cons:  The customer service is not consistent. More often than not I did not receive the kind of eagerness to leave a good impression that one would expect from staff working in such a prestigious venue.

The only issue we had was that there wasn't a quiet area to have an afternoon cocktail. It's very much set up for "people watching", which we were trying to excape. We had our cocktails in our room.

Pros:  The location was perfect for our agenda. The staff was first rate as was the service. We couldn't have asked for more.
Cons:  No, of course not. Their middle name is service and they realize that return visits are based upon perception...which was wonderful.

It is absolutely beautiful. Location is great. Right on Park Avenue only about 4 blocks from Times square and only 3 blocks from Grand Central Station. The hop on hop off grayline bus had a stop right at the Waldorf. Don't eat at the restaurants in the hotel though, unless you want to get rid of a lot of money.

Pros:  I loved the character and history of the hotel. The room was older of course, but it was beautifully decorated, very clean, the beds were amazingly soft and there were mirrors and outlets everywhere (which is sometimes hard to find in newer hotels).
Cons:  The hotel turned had turned off their heat for the season. Because we were there during a cold spell, the room was cold to us. However, they provided a plug in room heater and that worked really well to keep us warm.

Pros:  Lobby
Cons:  Room was small and the d├ęcor was dated, especially the window coverings. Something out of Louis IV. AC was not strong enough. Duvet caused you either to be cold or hot.

This hotel was extremely clean and beautiful. Very historic. I loved it, and would stay there again given the opportunity. In relation to the sites around this hotel it is in the perfect location, time square, Rockefeller center, Bryant park, the empire state building, etc. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a place to stay.

Pros:  Everyone was very nice and cordial, as would be expected for a 4 star hotel. very clean.
Cons:  The view, it was of a roof. But that is really no ones fault.
