Liked: - location excellent for Mid to lower manhattan- staff generally very helpfull- good views from upper floors rooms
Disliked: - no lobby, not a single coach.- some staff need better training generally (food service, billing etc...)- awful charging policy. on a total spent of $4.7k, they have billed $7k in advance (sic) and that was not reimbursed on leaving. One week later i am still waiting for it. I have never seen that in any hotel in the world i have been to.

An East Village gem -...

Liked: This hotel still has it's shine after many years in the game. I hadn't stayed here in 12 years, and though the restaurants and public spaces are quite different, there is still something effortless about the property. We lucked out with a room on the 19th floor: the best views in this part of the city - a sweeping panorama from the UN to financial district, including the Brooklyn waterfront and all three downtown bridges. Close access to many excellent neighborhood restaurants and shops is also an advantage.
Disliked: The perk of day passes to Crunch gym across Cooper Square is a bonus, but that location of Crunch is poorly maintained and stuffy. I recommend walking the neighborhood for a better workout.
