The Pickwick Hotel San Francisco, San Francisco

For an older hotel it was nice; be prepared for cramped quarters. Location was excellent.

Liked: The location.
Disliked: Rooms were too small for 4 people.

Leo was fantastic - getting us cabs and cars as we were on an insane schedule. Neat, clean and wish we could have stayed longer. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Clean & good value hotel...

Liked: The hotel was in a great location just off Union Square and in great walking distance to a lot of restaurants, shops & Powell St public transport. Had a nice bar connected to the Hotel too. The rooms were kept clean and wifi was good. We also got a later check out to 1pm which we were very grateful for.
Disliked: On arrival it took the staff member on the front desk a lot longer than expected to check us all in (a group of 14) and provide us all with room keys. The hotel knew what time we were arriving so this could of been done before arrival to prevent a longer wait than expected in the foyer. Another member of staff arrived and promptly sorted all the room keys which was appreciated. Apart from that our stay was great.

Superb

Liked: Bed was super cosy, room cleaned every day, the shower wasn't too strong, but the room was nice, a big TV and everything needed.
Disliked: Downtown can be a bit sketchy at night, but the street it's on is okay

Excellent for stay in San...

Liked: Nice rooms in a classical hotel. Easy to reach BART station Powell, cable car, union square, restaurants and museums. Very close to Cafes- such as Java Rost.
Disliked: Many homeless people in that area.

Welcome to the Bay

Liked: the location is right in the middle of the city. union square. easy access to everywhere with the cable cars. friendly welcoming.
Disliked: so many homeless around make you feel terrifed a bit. union square not a wealthy location in the city. rooms were old a bit. no flipflops in the rooms. but not bad for that much daily fee.

Pleasant

Liked: Location was great.
Disliked: Reception man was little rude (older man with glasses). There was a mice in my room (i saw it at the middle of night then they changed my room). Ground floor was smelling bad.
