Great value for a stay...

Liked: From the moment I entered NY Local, I was warmly greeted by the staff at the bar and the check-in desk. I found the place clean and the ambiance very welcoming.
Disliked: Though not far from subway, location was not in Manhatten. The bunk could have enclosed drapes for better privacy.

unexpectedly clean

Disliked: Only one bad thing. I was moved to a different room my 2nd night there without any notification. Some of my belonging were left in the original bedroom.

Go for it!

Liked: I liked: FREE WATER, the staff, coffee, air-conditioning, clean rooms, clean bathrooms, free lockers, closeness to subway (5 minutes), breakfast places nearby - (they don't serve, but check LM cafe. Big breakfast for 8.5 $).
Disliked: No lift. If you have heavy luggage, good luck. The bathroom is a bit cramped. You have to buy soaps & shampoo for 3$.
