Beautiful artwork displayed in the foyer and ground floor areas give the hotel a contemporary eclectic feel. The rooms are seriously tired and in need of a re-vamp. Individual room safes should be installed instead of having to sign valuables in and out of security boxes next to the elevator entrance. Top floor room had a nice window seat with somewhat of a view of the sea over the rooftops. On our last day, I overheard that the hotel offered sundowner wine tastings - obviously as we were unaware of it we did not attend one. There is a wonderful fresh organic food market (serves lovely breakfast or lunch) within walking distance heading downhill on Robson St and several favourite restaurants (Miku for amazing sushi and Cactus Club for delicious lunches or dinner) heading up the street. I would recommend this hotel to friends, on the condition that a good rate could e negotiated, alternatively use Priceline "Name your own price" in conjunction with betterbidding dot com - study the latter to learn strategies for bidding, which hotels you are likely to win and recent winning bids.

Pros:  Location is great and some rooms have sea-views. The early morning coffee service brought to the room at requested time. Taxi's always available right outside the door. Front desk staff (double as concierge) were friendly and gave good advice.
Cons:  Tired rooms in need of complete revamp. No in-room safe.

The hotel and rooms were clean and well designed. The location was excellent. It was a good value for the money. Its by no means spectacular but it did the job and did it very well. I would stay there again.

Pros:  The hotel and rooms were clean and well designed. The location was excellent. It was a good value for the money. I would stay there again.
Cons:  Cleaning staff seemed to miss the point of a "Do Not Disturb" sign and woke us in the morning by knocking on our door.
