Cheating Hotel - DO NOT...

Disliked: First words from the lady at the reception when we arrived: WE HAVE DOWNGRADED YOU. Apparently, the room we booked had a water leakage, and therefore they had to downgrade us. I travel a lot and this has never happened to me, ever. I usually hear "we have upgraded you". Then the worst part, we were promised a refund by the MANAGER MARC because we were downgraded and could only move to the room we booked the next day. We NEVER RECEIVED IT. Shame.

Disliked: Upon returning to the hotel at 6pm after leaving at 9am, I found that the room had not been serviced. After calling reception to request cleaning, I went out for an additional hour, despite needing to leave again.My colleague's checkout time was delayed by an hour, inconveniencing us as we waited in the lobby for access to their room.Despite my request for a room on a higher floor due to excessive street noise on the third floor, the hotel was unable to accommodate this.The sink in the room was unclean upon arrival.The room lacks sufficient lighting.The front desk staff was likely the worst I've ever encountered, both within and outside the US. Their performance was extremely poor, with the exception of one woman.

Disliked: The price was so high, the staff was rude and not nice at all, probably the worst I’ve ever faced in the US, the sink was dirty, the room is too dark.

Boutique-y hotel in bustling soho

Liked: The staff were lovely and the room was bigger than expected for the location. The subway was close and it was also a great location to walk from to explore: close to chinatown and to Brooklyn bridge. As two friends travelling we also appreciated having a bathroom with a proper door and blinds to close to make it private - surprisingly hard to find!
Disliked: The lighting was quite dim.

Great location but not worth...

Disliked: Staff was cold, room assigned was a “city view” that looked out onto an empty construction lot marked by the constant disturbance of traffic entering the Holland Tunnel. Nearby elevators whirring up and down sounded into the room especially at night with guest traffic. Water setting was dangerously boiling hot, even when set to warm.

Awesome Stay???
