A very nice, relaxed place (great orchids throughout the public areas). The staff was very friendly and professional. The hotel restaurant was outstanding. Instead of the usual overpriced, mediocre rubber-chicken stuff you usually encounter in a hotel restaurant, the food was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The portions were more than ample, and the prices were very reasonable. If you are going to the Doheny Blues Festival (or anything else in the vicinity) and want a relaxing retreat away from the crowds, check this place out.

Liked: Everything else. The room was large for the price (especially on a concert weekend) - very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Excellent value.
Disliked: Two minor bathroom quibbles: shower could use a door (current setup looks cool, but is somewhat impractical). Also, please add towel racks, hooks, something to hang things on.

Liked: The bar is cozy and the bartenders are very friendly and make good drinks. The hotel is pretty and makes a nice impression. The pool area looks nice. We didn't have to enjoy it. The staff is very friendly. Free parking
Disliked: The shower was not good. The tile work was awful. The shower floor is slick and kinda spongy. The pillows on the bed are awful. The room has an odd sink by the closet that isn't really part of the bathroom and doesn't have a mirror over it so not sure the thinking there.
