Super 8 Lawrence

Loud room

The first room stunk of weed, so I went back to the front desk to get another room. This immediately made me question the cleanliness of the hotel, or rather, the cleaning staff reporting these issues. The second room I was in had a hint of cigarette smoke in the doorway. I find it odd the hotel is smoke free, except for a few rooms. Those few rooms don't keep the smoke to themselves. There were a number of air pockets in the water lines, so be careful with filling up your cup for water. The drain the tub could not keep up with the bathtub faucet but was fine with the shower. The shower curtains kept sliding open. The only thing I can say was decent there was the bed. It wasn't as hard as sleeping on plywood, but it had some softness to it. The one thing I always use are the locks on the door, but this hotel actually put a note next to the locks to use them for your safety. I know the crime rate in Lawrence, KS is low, but this makes me really want to question the area.

Great price, great service, and very nice for a Super 8. We would stay there again. A pool and a Hot Tub would have made it perfect!
