Shoreline Hotel Waikiki, Honolulu

Great location, comfortable and value...

Liked: Great location central to everything and not far from the beach. Clean, friendly staff, comfy bed, good shower.
Disliked: Bit noisy at night, music from a nearby venue.

Superb

No frills and inexpensive hotel...

Liked: + room has a lot of nice amenities like a microwave, snacks on a tray, kettle and coffee + tea. +TV you can toggle to HDMI via the knob on the bottom so plug your devices away. + towels for the beach if you need them at the front desk.+ service was great, really nice room service staff, they are polite and attentive. + room service is great, if you need fresh towels/cups etc they provide it straight to your room.+ the location is fantastic, just 10 mins from the beach and literally around the corner from great shops and restaurants. + they upgraded our room from a queen room to a king suite (much appreciated surprise!) the extra space and couch was worth it.
Disliked: - It didn't bother me but you can hear live music/vehicles from across the street during the evening. If you have to sleep with absolute silence this isn't really the place for that. - there is no fan in the bathroom so it was incredibly steamy after a shower. - the shower pressure is baaad. If this is a ploy save water and energy, well it didn't work because I had to shower twice as long as I usually do in order to rinse off dirt and sand.-room was mostly clean but I noticed the top shelf in the walk in closet was dusty. The walls and bathroom door had slightly peeling paint, so it could use a refresh.

Liked: Location is great, staff are nice
Disliked: It is so noisy. You hear so much noise from the street and within the hotel. It is unfortunate there isn’t better sound proofing because the location is great, it just happens to be across the street from a tour pick up location. So every morning 7 - 9am all you hear is the beep beep beep of reversing tour buses!! Also the elevator seems to be out indefinitely meaning only one operating elevator for the entire hotel. Not ideal.
