Good spa service, but limited....
Liked: Room service breakfast was exceptional. Fresh, hot, timely. Very good indeed.
Disliked: Slightly disappointed with the in room bar. Good snacks, wine, but bourbon/liquor choices were mid level. Would have been nice to have ice in the ice bucket upon arrival. Asked the porter to bring ice and it never arrived. Had to call and request it again. A small thing, but this is a premium property. We stayed at the Ritz Dallas two weeks ago, and there was ice waiting for us in the room. I do like the Mansion bar and live music better than the bar at the Ritz. Well done.

Five star experience for main...
Liked: Beautiful property
Disliked: The wait staff in the bar/lounge prefer to cater to their local regulars. I returned to the hotel after a long day at 1800hrs. I traveled from London and expected a five star experience. As soon as I sat down, the wait staff put a “reserved” sign down on the table, and said that they would need the table at 8pm “if that was ok”. I then asked, where I was supposed to go as there were going to have live music. She said that she would remove the sign and never did. I then walked over to the hotel manager to ask him to assist with the issue. When I returned to the lounge, my full drink (I didn’t close out the tab, and went to the restroom for 5 minutes) was gone, and a couple was seated at my table. I then asked the server why she gave away my table, as I had left a full drink, and just went to the bathroom. She offered me another table, which wasn’t acceptable as I am a disabled veteran with two herniated discs in my back. Worse, the man sitting at my table got irate with me and told me not to speak with the waitress because she was “our people”, so obviously local regulars.I’ve stayed at 5 stars all over the world (Mandarin Oriental, 4 Seasons Olympic, Ruggles, Mandarin Bay Sands, Drake, Broadmoor, Ritz, Ritz Carlton, etcI’ve never been ran off if I found an open table, nor have I noticed a biased preferential treatment for the local regulars over a paying hotel guest. This was a horrible experience as I almost came to blows with the local who was given my table.
