We loved St. Helena Island

Liked: The location was great, we only stayed one night. The house itself was nice, our room was downstairs and was roomy, clean and comfortable. The location of our room was also good.
Disliked: We checked in and didn't get much of a greeting or conversation. We had an emergency in our room late at night and called, maintenance showed up and told us WE had too much connected to the extension cord, which was not even the plug I used to plug in my phone charger. It was a different socket and when I plugged it in it sparked a fire, below out my charger. No one mentioned it the next morning. It took us at breakfast a half hour to get a cup of coffee, service was slow and it felt like no one even knew we were there. It just was a weird experience and we have stayed at many Inn's and Bed and breakfasts so we do have something to compare it to.

Lovely inn with fantastic breakfast...

Liked: Enjoyed staying in historic inn. The veranda was nice and can’t beat the location.
Disliked: The mattress sagged in the middle so tended to roll towards the middle.

The addition of snacks, and...

Liked: We wanted a typical old southern style house and it was perfect. Easy walking to most facilities. Great parking.
Disliked: Stairs might be a problem for anyone with challenges. Not in our case. A little concerning that no staff members on the property at night. However emergency number was provided.
