Renaissance by Marriott Portsmouth-Norfolk Waterfront Hotel, Portsmouth

Had a relaxing stay while we went to the Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion. Everyone was nice. The entire place was clean. Very nice rooms. Would stay here again.

Liked: Close to venue.
Disliked: Had to pay to park.

We love this hotel and use if when we go to the Norfolk area. Everyone is nice, we love the area and it's close to the Portsmouth concert venue. It's clean and the view is fantastic.

Liked: Everyone is so nice and the view is fantastic.
Disliked: Slight smell in the room.

The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The location was awesome - we could not have wished for anything more. Thanks!

Liked: Under construction so that was a bummer but still very nice hotel. Can’t wait to see when it’s completed

Stay was comfortable and although...

Liked: Loved the room's view and the room itself. The bathrooms shower walls were not cleaned but it was very late before I took a shower so I didn't report it. Overall the rest of the room was very clean and comfortable.
Disliked: The room next to us kept their door propped open with the door clasp and kept music on and up loud while also talking and laughing. I called and security did come and have thwm turn it down. Within an hour they had it back up again. The price was high considering they were doing remodeling but we love this hot.

Overall disappointing

Liked: Breakfast was very good and room was comfortable with nice view.
Disliked: I paid full price but wasn’t told that many of the hotel’s features were closed due to renovations! Some staff were very nice but others pretty rude. No secure features for parking. Front desk refused to give change for a $20 so i could give tips. The tap water was undrinkable yet only two water bottles in room. I called front desk- they said they’d send more right up but never did! This was a special treat for my son who just got out of hospital after ten months. For the price i expected four star experience but did not get it. Overall disappointed and would never stay there again or maybe any of your hotels.
