Quality Inn & Suites Bloomington I-55 and I-74, Bloomington

Was a nice place to stay.

Liked: Convenient and quiet.
Disliked: Nothing really.

Would be nice to be able to check out at noon instead of 11 AM.

Liked: Comfortable bed and friendly wait staff; nice pool area.
Disliked: Room was very dirty. Not vacuumed; bathroom floor dirty; fingerprints on all shiny surfaces; burn holes on bed comforter.

Liked: Lots of police around because of the crime in the area.
Disliked: Very bad part of town; bad breakfast; fire alarm went off early AM.

I'll never go there again no matter how close it is to the US Cellular Place.

Liked: Cleanish.
Disliked: First they booked all the smoking rooms after we requested one. Then they gave us a different room on the first floor so OK, they said it'd be ready in 30 minutes. It took over an hour for them to clean the room. Also, the pool hours were not really accessible for one night stays. Also the fire alarm was falsely pressed and woke me up at 7am when I went to bed at 3.

I would choose a different...

Liked: It was in a convenient spot. The beds were comfortable. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was standard continental breakfast (make-your-own waffles, yogurt, toast, cereal). The breakfast area was kept clean and refilled.
Disliked: The place definitely needs an update and a deep clean. I did not feel comfortable walking around barefoot in the room because the carpet seemed dirty. At arrival, my son said “I’m scared,” and I was feeling the same. It didn’t feel like we were in a safe part of town. It was right next to the highway, so the highway noise was loud. There were very bright lights right outside our window (probably for security reasons), and I needed to use my hair clips to close the curtains because they wouldn’t stay closed. At one point, I woke up to the smell of weed, as it was so strong. My son likes to hide under things, and he crawled under the sink/vanity and looked up at all the “rusty, dirty things.”

I was charged for NOT...

Liked: This place didn't even have a room avail. Your website tool defaulted to the next day, different from the day I wanted, so when I got there I was told they were full and that my reservation was for the NEXT day. I said I didn't want a reser the next day PLUS I told the frt desk clerk "I won't be here tomorrow" & left. Apparently they needed more money as they filed a false charge against me for this room. Bottom line: I told them I was not going to be there the next day that this charge was for & do not feel I have to pay for this phantom charge.
Disliked: The fact that they charged me for a room stay when I was even at their location.
