On our arrival, front desk clerk was nice and courteous. Rooms were clean but we thought it was too small. Beds are marked queens but felt like full size beds. I was not too impressed with our room.

Liked: Walking distance to river walk.
Disliked: Small room and needs a lot of structure repairs.

Great hotel that is close...

Liked: The historic preservation and presentation was very nice. The proximity to the Riverwalk, restaurants, and attraction made for easy walking. There is a very nice commons area with tables and chairs on each floor.
Disliked: We had trouble with the TV, ceiling fan didn’t work.

Liked: We liked that it had good reviews and a great location. We thought the pics looked okay( but those were deceiving)
Disliked: Small rooms and in poor condition. We made reservations including breakfast. After we checked in we were told they decided to stop including breakfast. I had to walk to find breakfast to bring back to my family. The balcony door had no window treatments to block out city lights and none of us slept our first night. We felt like it was not clean either. We checked out without staying second night for our own health.

Liked: Location perfect, vibe perfect, staff (Stacy) in particular was top. The maintenance guy had to sort out a leaky tap (the hotel is like a million years old) and he too was top. Just a really nice experience.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike for us. It’s an old hotel, but kept in great condition
