Motel 6-Des Moines IA - North, Des Moines

Liked: Sufficient bed; air conditioning worked great.
Disliked: Toilet leaked and had standing water when we arrived; exposed molding; cracked mirror; door gap left lots of room for air and noise to get in.

Other guests woke us up at 3 AM.

Disliked: Too noisy. Mattresses need to be replaced. Walls are paper thin.

Liked: For the most part it was cute room location was thought to be ideal just the hwy being as close as it is it's loud
Disliked: Took over and hour for me to get checked in no one came to the front desk for houri stood there and there was cockroaches in the room and was told I would get refunded some and could be moved in the morning and as of this moment not been moved as it is after checkout now was wanting to try again to stay again just in a different room with no roaches

This place needs some work & not worth the price. Pick a different place to stay.

Liked: The woman who checked us in was very friendly & accommodating. The rest of the staff, not so much. As always, pets stay free, thank you!
Disliked: My room was ok, my friends room was dirty & the TV didnt work & no remote. She ended up getting a different room. My room was clean but the curtains had a burned spot & the flooring etc. were tired. There were several sketchy people hanging around outside and the grounds had garbage everywhere. The road noise from 35 was very loud too.
