Price was a bit high but the hotel was in a great location and the rooms were well appointed.

It is an extremely beautiful hotel and I think after the renovations it should be even more stunning. The hotel is right in the middle of the city which is very convenient. It is two blocks away from Michigan Ave which is the main shopping district and area.

Pros:  the bellboys had excellent service. the location was superb. it was right in the middle of Chicago and most places were within walking distance.
Cons:  it was doing construction. and while i understand that the hotel wanted to maintain its appearance, i don't understand why construction has to start at 8 in the morning. it is rather disrupting as i was on holiday and expected a relaxing stay.
