Liked: Great location. Everything felt well maintained and clean. Very friendly desk staff. Great breakfast in the morning that will save you $20+/person vs eating out every morning.Doesn't feel like a cramped hotel or the cookie-cutter apartment style rooms that other places on the island tend to be.
Disliked: Weird cleaning hours. They would try to clean the rooms at 830am, but would come back later if you dismissed them. Not a really big issue overall.

Disliked: Things that could use improvement: cleanliness of rooms, and general upkeep — I’ve noticed things are a lot more “worn” than in previous stays. Things are looking tatty— the trash bins, loose toilet paper holders and unpatched holes in walls, crusty sounding exhaust fans, etc. it’s just getting shabby since it’s last facelift.

Liked: Great location across from Hemingway's place. Walk to restaurants. More quite than the marina area.
Disliked: Rooms were a little small barely fitting a king size bed. No room to stretch or do my morning yoga. Very expensive but we only stayed one night and wanted to be in that location.

Liked: Room 43 was great. Pool was ok. Breakfast was very good - lots of choices. Staff was very friendly and very accommodating!
Disliked: The room I booked was smaller than anticipated, and did not have a window or door that I could leave open. I went to the front desk and asked about opening the window, was concerned about the strong smell of chlorine/bleach, and the TV wouldn’t stay flush against the wall. The staff person (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name) was wonderful and tried to find another room for me. She was able to upgrade me to a king room with a patio (Room # 43) for the same price that I had paid, and I was extremely grateful. That room was wonderful. I greatly enjoyed the room and the patio deck was so enjoyable for my evening cocktail, and morning coffee. Thank you! I will definitely recommend the Lighthouse to everyone!
