This was our first time at the Lafayette Hotel. Everything was great. Will stay again.

Liked: The nostalgia of the hotel was great.
Disliked: None.

Loved the hotel and location. Would stay there again if I could get a larger room.

Liked: Beautiful woodwork in the room. Very professional and friendly staff. Loved the history of the hotel.
Disliked: Room was very small and smoke alarm would go off every time I took a shower.

Liked: Location and view
Disliked: The elevator was broken and had to have someone take us up in the service elevator. Which was not always convenient.

Liked: Historic features.
Disliked: Unfortunately, the elevator was not working. They only had one employee at the desk in the morning trying to check people out and also having to run to the service elevator to help people who needed one. I understand that they had no control over the broken elevator, as it was flooded out, however, they should have had more staff on hand to help with those people who needed an elevator for themselves and their luggage.

Liked: The location of the hotel is downtown. Very nice
Disliked: Heat was steam without shut off. AC was required even though the temp outside was cool. Elevator was inoperative. Breakfast included in the price was not open until 11:00 AM.

Our stay at Lafayette Hotel...

Liked: We loved the historical aspect and the coziness. The employees were all very kind!
Disliked: I didn’t speak with anyone about this, so I do not have any information to back up the reason- but the radiators were going full blast and so was the air conditioning. Seems to me to be a waste of resources but again there may be a reason.
