It's a great location, but...

Liked: The location was amazing.There was a gentleman at the bar who was fantastic. He kept an eye out for a seat for us when there wasn't anyplace to sit, then came to find us and sat us right away. There was a very disruptive family at a bar with several naughty children who made a mess. He was a gentleman through that entire experience, never once acting rudely or impatiently with the family (who didn't tip him).
Disliked: The reception area sofas were filthy and smelled of old laundry.The check-in took 30 minutes, was confusing. The check-out took 30 minutes, there was some sort of mistake in the booking. I still have no idea what was going on.The shower was cold 2/4 days.The hallway was full of bags of trash each morning.The toilet splashes up and out upon flushing.

Liked: You are paying for location here. Hotel is positioned close to Smithsonian and White House. Staff was very nice and helpful. Rooms are smaller than they appear online but are comfortable and clean.
Disliked: You pay for EVERYTHING. Parking our car for 3 days was over $200 and is NOT included in hotel fee. There is a $32 destination fee for each night. They offer to compensate that by using it towards room service or tickets to other attractions. Our trip was booked up in terms of tours so we had no use for the extra attractions. $5 charge for room service. No free breakfast. It started at $27 per person. Also, TV doesn’t have very many channels unless you are a sports fan. No premium channels at all. After a day packed with sightseeing, would have been nice to have more viewing options to relax to at night. Only other negative was the bath robe and towels were hard and stiff. Not a pleasure to wear or use. Beds and sheets however were very comfy.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Walls thin. Heard ice machine all night. Parking nonexistent. I had to use valet parking. Valet only one person on a busy Monday morning. Staff not helpful.
