nice
Liked: Staff is awesome helpful and friendlyLocation is great
Disliked: previous guest obviously had a dog in the room.the little couch was covered in dog hair, when my wife sat down there was dog hair stuck to her pants.we also found dog kibble on the floor I am an asthmatic and deathly allergic to dogs and cats if the hotel allows guests with pets, they should be in designated rooms.Also this means the house keeping is doing a minimal job in preparing the rooms

Not what I expected
Liked: The location was great.
Disliked: My reservation was for 2 queens and a sofa bed. The room had no sofa bed and when I went to talk to the front desk I was told that their system does not differentiate between rooms that include sofa beds and they could not give me the room I reserved. They did offer to refund the entertainment fees, which are ridiculous, by the way, but having the extra room is what I really wanted and why I chose The Hyatt. Also... when we turned on the air conditioning, a bunch of dust blew out into the bed from the vent. It looked like they don't clean the vents often. I didn't let the front desk know about the dust, I didn't see the point.

Great, clean hotel but super...
Liked: Firepit, room, pool, location and hotel grounds.
Disliked: Under-staffed, room phone did not work, had to pay extra for parking, they are not cleaning rooms every day and also, we had to beg them for hair dryer and fresh towels. We ran out of coffee and the staff was super short.

Liked: Breakfast in the restaurant was delicious. Parking was convenient. Location was convenient.
Disliked: Accommodations weren't quite as presented online. A nice hotel but hardly the luxe accommodations presented and expected. Secure entrance was broken; exterior door open all night. Disappointed by lack of welcoming experience normally presented by Hyatt Hotels at check-in. Three staff members were present with no other guests in lobby or at check-in yet no one welcomed us or offered to assist with check-in. Felt like we were putting them out by checking in. Not a pleasant or welcoming experience.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Room - drapes didn’t close all the way to darken. Bathroom supplies (shower body wash empty). No housekeeping. Staff not super welcoming. Not unfriendly but not friendly.It seemed like the hotel was short on supplies. We got 3 decaf coffee pods. Felt like there wasn’t a lot of attention to guests.

Disliked: $18 parkingThe hotel confirmed that there will be a sofa bed and two twin beds in the room. We arrived late but found no sofa bed. Disappointed.

A wee Disappointed
Liked: The King size mattress was comfortable.
Disliked: the pillows were lacking some serious support. They need to invest in supportive KING SIZE pillows. They also need a more friendly front counter person. We didn't receive all the bells and whistles of our purchase, i.e., the wine, winery packages, etc. It was very disappointing considering it was our honeymoon. We were not told that our outlets and lights worked a "certain way," so having lights and power didn't happen the first evening. It would have been nice to enjoy electricity and all the perks we paid for during the duration of our stay. The second night, the wine fridge started flashing its light like a strobe light. My husband had to get up at 3 am. and figure out a way to turn it off so as to go back to sleep.Fortunately, Castello di Amarosa was a nice place to visit.
