If you are flying into Tampa at night time and will only be here for 1 night & need a cheap hotel, this is for you if you're not picky. It is not far from the cruise terminal & offers shuttle, which is why we booked it. The hotel is surrounded by food places & close to the NFL stadium. The hotel is on a very busy street with lots of different things for travelers.

5 minutes to airport. Lots restaurants within walking or short driving distance. Surrounded by strip clubs so if you want to go to a real bar you will have to drive. Area seems safe. Room was average with no significant issues.

I stayed here on two different occasions for a little less than a week. The first room was all right, smelled a little musty or moldy, had to buy a scented candle. No visible mold, no bugs that I saw. The second room was also pretty run down, faint smell of pets, a peek behind the dresser revealed about 2 inches of dust, but at least the main part of the room was acceptable. It was nice to have a microwave and refrigerator. The area was ok -- not stellar but not horrible. One sort of rude staff member, the rest seemed nice. It was an acceptable place--I just needed someplace cheap and safe and bug-free to crash between housing, and this place served its purpose.
