Really friendly staff; very helpful regarding local recommendations. Very spacious room.
Disliked: I don't prefer pedestal sinks in bathrooms, just cuz I'm a high maintenance gal who needs room to spread out my magic potions!

Bad service, decent but small...
Liked: Rooms were nicely kept and clean.
Disliked: Walked in and had to go find someone to help us. Once I found the lady she told me she’s filling in for someone and didn’t know how to take a reservation. She told me it would be better to book online. So I finally did that myself and then she asked if I drove, I said yes and she said it’s $40 per night to park. That’s ridiculous for 1 night. Totally unacceptable service. Plus lots of homeless in the area.

Mid.
Liked: Great location
Disliked: Staff were very weren’t welcoming. They told us there was something else we had to pay when we knew we had paid already in full (we were right), which delayed our check in time. Other guests had a similar issue - which is very annoying. I left a shoe behind, and when I tried to contact them through Booking.com to retrieve it, they ghosted me.. which is ridiculous.Really weird thing about the room, the bed wasn’t in a duvet cover, it was just nestled between two linen sheets, meeting the actual duvet wasn’t covered completely- a bit icky for a hotel room.

Nice hotel - good atmosphere,...
Liked: Location, bed, shower/bathroom, lobby
Disliked: Room - despite the 'upgrade' to 'Premium King' - very, very small room! Not a problem for us, but still....so small!

Art Deco Disappointment
Liked: The art deco furnishings were cool.
Disliked: The front desk person who checked us in/out was not friendly and didn't give us any helpful information such as where our room was, any facilities, etc. They just said, "Here's your room key. It's room 517". That was it... They also didn't tell us about the parking situation or cost, and we had some issues getting out of the garage. When we buzzed the hotel to leave the parking garage, the person was incredibly short and then just hung up on us. The hotel looked nice, but upon closer inspection, it was dingy, dirty, and pretty run down. I took a shower before checkout, and it drained so slow that I was just standing in water the whole time. Gross. The bed was also really uncomfortable. The restaurant smelled so bad of air freshener that we almost left because it was giving me a headache. Had we not been crunched for time to make a concert, we absolutely would've left because the smell was so overpowering. The food was also not good. I had to swap meals with my husband because the burger I ordered was so greasy.I was really disappointed with the whole experience. I love the art deco vibe of the place, but that's really the only thing that I liked. It's a shame, too, because it has so much potential to be a really great place. The overall vibe we got was that no one really cared. Definitely will not stay again.
