Great place to stay for...

Liked: The room size was great for New York! The location was also fantastic but if noise keeps you awake, maybe not for you!
Disliked: There was only one elevator working for the whole week that we were there & we were on the 10th floor. It was fixed on our last day. Also, I had two cold showers!!

Excellent location, friendly, knowledgeable staff...

Liked: The room was beautiful, clean and spacious. Location in NY was excellent, a short walk to the subway stations and Times Square. The lobby was also lovely.
Disliked: One of the lifts was not working so the wait was long and we were on the 12th floor.

Superb

Liked: Excellent location within walking distance of many attractions and transport links (two blocks to Penn station). Room was newly renovated and clean, bed was also very comfortable. Nice sized room (had a standard king room) for central NYC location.
Disliked: One elevator was being renovated, which sometimes meant long waits - this is temporary though and will be fixed shortly - staff did inform about it on arrival. As with any central NYC hotels, rooms facing street will experience some noise and I came prepared with earplugs (none of these are points that would prevent me from staying again - would happily return).

Liked: This hotel was a great location. A quiet street and it was not super busy. This hotel was definitely old but has been very well re modeled. King room was very spacious for a New York hotel. The windows were a nice touch. No view but really great still. Also having a fridge in the room was a plus as well as a bathtub. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Disliked: The elevator was very slow and tiny. Only one was working. Luckily we were on the 4th floor so we walked down every time.

Loved New York, hotel was...

Liked: Great location, clean and comfortable. Could see the Empire States Building from our room. Really easy to access the sights of NYC and the transportation network. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Only one elevator was working and it was very small and slow, so getting around the building was tiresome.The sound travel between rooms was significant - we could clearly hear our neighbours conversations which wasn't great, especially at 3am!!
