Disappointing, won’t stay here again....

Liked: Location was nice, near a lot of food places room was large, bed was comfy. Staff was nice and trying their best with what they had to work with. House keeping was awesome! They did a great job !
Disliked: Mostly disappointed. We booked an executive king room because it stated it had a whirlpool tub which it did not. So I paid that extra money for nothing. We love Holiday Inn Express chain but this place did not meet the normal expectations of the chain. Breakfast was quite pitiful. No yogurt, no waffle maker, pancake maker was broken, no fruit in the bowl, no bacon( it was still frozen), no cinnamon rolls—all the things the chain takes pride in. Ice machine was broken on 3rd floor but you would t know until you went for the ice because there wasn’t a sign on it. The room keys kept deactivating so we were constantly running all the way back down to get a key to get in our room which was quite annoying. They didn’t have enough towels for the rented rooms. Overall, a disappointing stay at our favorite chain. I’d say poor management. Not the daily staff.

Disappointing

Disliked: Wifi password wasn't correct. Staff didn't know what the right password was and didn't attempt to find out what it was. We were traveling for a funeral, and are IHG members. We requested a late check out and we're told the hotel policy is not to allow late check out. The hotel itself was only at 30% capacity. We have stayed at many Holiday Inn ExPresses over the years. One of the perks staying at a Holiday Inn is the free breakfast. The breakfast at this hotel was exceptionally poor. There were no pancakes as the pancake machine was broken. They didn't have muffins, waffles or juice. The breakfast basically consisted of egg omelets, over cooked, dries out chicken sausage, cereal and toast. It was a very disappointing stay.

Liked: comfy bed- this is the only positive and no bugs.
Disliked: There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and no ventilation. The carpets were dirty in the room- socks were black! Toilette got clogged and we were told there was no maintenance until the AM and had to use public bathrooms in the lobby throughout the night. Also, the fire alarm went off at 6AM due to the receptionist (who was apparently cooking breakfast for the guests) caught fire.
