Holiday Inn Express & Suites Houston Energy Corridor-W Oaks an IHG Hote, Houston

Liked: people at front desk are very friendly especially the one that checked me in at very particular evening
Disliked: I was on the second floor the person on the third floor above my room was walking like an elephant he or her steps woke me up around midnight I could not sleep till he or she settled down. He started again around 3AM.

Not a good area for families- and entire hotel needs to be renovated.

Liked: It was near plenty of dining options, coffee places, and gas stations.
Disliked: We noticed that theres an entire lot full of homeless people behind the hotel, and they sometimes pass through the parking lot to go to their area- which made my husband and I concerned since we were traveling with our two young kids. The concierge staff upon checkout wasnt even there to promptly help anyone and I had to basically call out for help after waiting for about 5 minutes, and this was at 10am in the morning so youd figure someone would be there anyway. The room felt damp and gross most of the time- and even though housekeeping did come and refresh our room once, we still noticed a lot of dust and the sheets had residual lipstick stains on it. The towel supply they give you is minimal. The shower pressure was INTENSE since there was so much calcium buildup on the shower head. This location would be fine for a quick overnight stay for a single person or couple- but I do NOT recommend it for families. Not a great area and the facilities werent up to standard.
