The room was sufficient for...
Liked: The rooms were on the smaller side, the bathroom should be bigger and the carpet was gross

I liked the other Holiday...
Liked: The staff was excellent. They accommodated our special needs in a timely and very satisfactory manner.
Disliked: The steepness of the ramp leading from the street to the parking garage is horrifyingly hazardous. It was obviously made for much smaller vehicles and I was in a midsize SUV. I would hate to think about entering the deck in anything larger. Also the elevators are unusual. The tap card mechanism and sign to use it is below waist level. A sign at eye level to direct you to the low mechanism might be helpful. And the doors are heavy with the handicapped push button located far enough away that you need to be told where it is. That is the only concession for the handicapped. To use the front door you must walk down stairs. The advertised free breakfast costs 10 dollars per person.

Liked: I booked 3 rooms via booking.com on Saturday night and had canceled 1 room on Friday morning, but didn't get a refund commitment, after several follow ups with both hotel staff and booking.com. On Friday morning I talked first to hotel staff who directed me to talk to booking.com, i also had expressed my willingness to postpone this room booking to a future day, if i get a refund commitment to both the parties. booking.com had send an email to holidayinn, which seems wasn't responded on time. When I checked in on Saturday, holiday Inn gave me a verbal commitment that can refund, if booking.com calls them on recorded line etc. It was almost certain that I lost my money and the room.

Good stay, great staff, costly...
Liked: Clean rooms, very helpful and accommodating staff, good location for Northwestern University and Evanston visits. Very safe and clean.
Disliked: The key cards kept malfunctioning, but the staff replaced them easily. Breakfast costs extra. Parking costs extra. But these may be unavoidable in a big city.

Over all a very pleasant...
Liked: The hotel was easy to find . Parking was available at extra cost. tThe breakfast wasn't included but was very good for a reasonable price. The beds were comfortable and the staff we dealt with were very friendly.
