I spent an awesome weekend at the Hilton and enjoyed every minute. Great rooms, comfy beds, and friendly staff. The shuttle was convenient for going into the park and City Walk. Bottom line - I would book again.
Liked: Wonderful, comfortable rooms with great views. Excellent seafood buffet.

I felt that it is very over rated and not worth the money. Lacks general accomodations, a simple meal is not available unless you order room service. Food at the pool is limited to certain times as well.
Liked: Glamorous but not worth the money.
Disliked: Ice machines didn't work, only meals you can get are buffet or room service. No cocktails until 11:00am, half the elevators didn't work.

Perfect location for a visit...
Liked: Perfect location for our visit to Universal, we could either get the shuttle to the parks or walk 10 mins direct no problem. The room was lovely and spacious and had a great view. the bar was busy both nights and a great spot for a well earned post Mario cocktail
Disliked: Very loud when the conference delegates all hit the bar!

Don’t waste your money it’s...
Liked: The location is good and the staff are very nice and helpful.
Disliked: The rooms are so old and dirty .The restaurant is also so old . You feel like it’s an old cheap motel.

Lovely stay, misunderstanding led to...
Liked: Great rooms, right next to universal
Disliked: We had a misunderstanding after prepaying breakfast. I had paid in advance through my reservation. When I got to the restaurant, the host explained that the advance payment was only for our two adults, two kids’ buffets were yet unpaid and $23 each. What’s more, the hot breakfast for adults was $10 more than the $23 we already paid in advance, so we had prepaid only 46/112+tip. We had a great time at the hotel and parks, but if we did it again I would skip prepaying for breakfast.One Week Later edit - I don't know whether the Hilton's management read the in-house survey they sent or this review, but I received an email from the Front Office Manager who refunded the cost of the two kids' breakfasts and the difference between the continental buffet and hot brunch. To be honest, I was completely shocked. I certainly recognize that sometimes miscommunication happens and they didn't have to do that. The director wrote: "Here at the Hilton Universal we profoundly understand the power of perception and the last impression we want to leave is that of a bait/switch kind of feel with our guests." I am very appreciative and impressed at the Hilton's willingness to go above and beyond - even to the point of resolving a problem based in 'perception' in order to leave a lasting good impression. I have changed my score to a 10 and will enthusiastically share this story with any who care to hear it.

Disliked: Long time to check in. Room service food was not very good and very expensive.
