Chose the place for convenience. Expected to get a good nights sleep for the price. Bed was not at all comfortable. Gumbo was good. It was more of a Creole flavor as oppossed to a Cajun flavor. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

We stayed for Lundi Gras and Mardi Gras here and the service was excellent! We are from Lafayette and know that they are generally friendly people, but every employee we passed had warm smiles and greetings and we were very impressed at the friendliness of all we met. They always asked if they could do any more to make our stay more pleasant. It was wonderful accommodations and we will stay again!!!

Liked: The hotel is in a great location. It is roughly a fifteen-minute drive from the hotel for anyone interested in attending the annual Festival Internationale, held in the downtown area every April. It is also close to many shops and department stores as well as the mall, Barnes & Noble and plenty of restaurants and businesses on Rue Johnston. The rooms are very comfortable and the restaurant on the first floor serves great meals for breakfast and dinner; if you don't want to drive around looking for a meal after a long day. The bar is also a plus, serving a variety of beers, wines, etc. There are cafe tables on the hotel grounds where you can enjoy a cocktail on a sunny day.
Disliked: I had a very pleasant experience at this hotel and would definitely stay there again!

I made the best of it

Liked: This is the first hotel I ever stay at where I had to pay for breakfast that was very upsetting that's one of the reasons I would never stay again
