Very enjoyable time in Charleston...

Liked: We unknowingly booked our stay during the 10k bridge race, so our room rate was $700+ for two nights out of the 5 nights we stayed. It by no means was worth that fee. The usual rate is somewhat a fair deal, just because of the location. but the “gauging fee” was too high of a price. We were woken by construction at 6:30 am weekdays, and the trash truck 5:30 Sunday morning… Breakfast was more enhanced continental than gourmet as described but included in room, so sufficient. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Daniel was great! The wine and cheese with live music from 5-6 was well done. So, we liked the hotel, but to be charged extra because of an event , made the stay overpriced for the accommodation . ( Also, moisture damage in scuttle on ceiling and walls of bathroom room 108 was disconcerting )
Disliked: Price for race weekend Bathroom had moisture damage. Noisy.
