Liked: We were on the road traveling from Louisiana to Michigan for my husbands work. It was a last minute reservation and the room was spotless and very comfortable.
Disliked: I don’t like the fact that I’m law enforcement and y’all no longer offer a discount to first responders.

I would recommend the Effingham...

Liked: Though I expect the hotel was very booked with guests coming for the solar eclipse, check in went very smoothly. The breakfast buffet was delicious.

Was a let down with...

Liked: I liked the beds and the breakfast was the best part of the stay. It was easy to get to off the interstate.
Disliked: The pool was closed which them having a pool with lift was the only reason we came so that was very disappointing. The room was supposed to be mobility accessible but had a normal tub just with a fold down seat that made the water run everywhere and the tub didn't drain right. My mom said her blankets smelled musty. They don't have as many extras/toppings out at breakfast as the pictures lead you to believe.

Liked: The breakfast was great. The room was comfortable and nicely laid out. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
