By Car: - Coming from Brussels, follow the E411 motorway towards Luxembourg. - Continue on the A1 motorway towards Trier (see below directions). - Coming from Mertz, follow the motorway towards Luxembourg and continue on the A1 motorway towards Trier (see C). -Coming from Luxembourg or Trier, on the A1 / E44 motorway, take exit 13 for Potaschberg / Grevenmacher. - Head towards Grevenmacher. - When entering Grevenmacher, head towards Konz / Wellen (Germany) at the roundabout. - After the bridge (entering Germany), turn right and then left (on the B419) towards Thionville / Metz. - Stay on the main road and pass Wellen. The next village is Nittel. - At the level of the railway station, turn left into the Weinstraße. - After approximately 500 metres, the hotel will be in front of you. Parking: The car park is located at the hotel. By Train: Take the train to Trier (Germany). From Trier, there is a direct connection to Nittel every 60 minutes. From the railway station, take the little pedestrian tunnel under the main road into the Weinstraße. Continue for 500 metres to find the hotel. Heavy luggage? This hotel has been fully renovated. It features a terrace, Carpe Diem beauty salon with sauna, relaxation bath, massages and facials, as well as a gallery for private dinners. For business guests, there is a conference room for up to 10 people and a meeting room for up to 40 people, as well as free use of seminar equipment (beamer, screen and flip chart). You also enjoy free internet use throughout the whole hotel (you have to bring your laptop with you). Functions and events for up to 140 people can also be organised.

All rooms are non-smoking and fully renovated with private bathrooms, flat-screen TV, free wireless internet access and extra-long comfort beds. Extra beds are possible.

Area Information

The wine-producing village Nittel lies in a picturesque location, between high dolomite and chalk cliffs and the winding course of the Obermosel. Its Mediterranean flora and fauna are witness to the warm, gentle climate, wich is particularly favourable for wineculture. Orchids even bloom in 2 nature reserves. Even before the the days of the Roman settlement, the Treverer Celtish tribe, influenced by the Greeks, is said to have grown grapes on the Mosel. We have the Romans to thank for the further refinement of grape cultivation. The very oldest grape variety on the Mosel is: Elbling. In Nittel, which with 300 hectares of vines is the largest grape-growing community in the Obermosel, this grape occupies approximately 75% of these hectares and so sets the tone for the region. Nittel’s chalky soil lends the grape a special flavour. Lively, aromatic, stimulating, refreshing and light, this is a dry white wine, which is also well suited te being refined to make sparkling wine.
