We visited in Spring at...

Liked: Historical B&B. Quiet location. Breakfast delivered in AM. Easy walk to downtown Placerville. Dog friendly. Our room had a patio, which we enjoyed. Lots of flowering trees outside.
Disliked: They added a shower to the tub. To keep the floor dry, there was a curtain, but the curtain doesn't fit the tub well and made it a bit challenging to shower.

Liked: Charming Scottish Victorian decor, excellent breakfast served to our room, close to wineries at Apple Hill.
Disliked: We would have enjoyed getting to know the hosts!

Liked: It's fun to occasionally stay at a B&B vs a hotel. GlenMorey Country House is located just a few blocks from the little downtown of Placerville and has all the charm, with some updates ;-), of a gold rush era upscale home.
Disliked: The house is on two acres and the long driveway and narrow streets in the immediate area can be a little intimidating for an arrival after dark. There is ample parking and a nice loop at the top so fortunately no need to back down that long drive!

Liked: Thank you for a wonderful stay. Breakfast was amazing. Everyone made us feel right at home. Every concern or question I had was delt with quickly and cheerfully. Will definitely be back.

Liked: Breakfast was wonderful and the rooms along with open area for meeting with friends was a real bonus. Nice rooms, very comfortable, and beautiful grounds with plenty of room to sit outside.
Disliked: Could not get TV to hook up to internet, which was not a big deal, the narrow drive up to the house was a bit sketchy when shared with another vehicle going the opposite direction, but again not a big deal. Was told to keep our voices down while conversing out in the common area, it was barely 10:00 P.M and we felt we were not speaking that loud. I believe this request came from one of the other tenants that appeared to be very grumpy and anti social, so not blaming the staff.
