We booked based on price...

Liked: It was close to our destination.
Disliked: Owners personal vehicles parked under portico made it difficult for drop off and pick up.

COULD HAVE BEEN A REALLY...

Liked: We did not hear one sound any of the nights we stayed in our room or even during the day for that matter. We checked out and drove almost 2 hours away and the hotel called us to inform us my husband had left his jacket which happened to be the one that had his wallet in it with identification credit cards and quite a bit of cash. We turned around to go back and get it and every penny and card were exactly as he had left it. You don't see that kind of honesty in people anymore. We ended up staying another night enjoying our portillos that we miss tremendously after moving out of Illinois and had another night of solid sleep.
Disliked: Honestly I went to breakfast once and the other people reviewing it were spot on. This hands down was the worst hotel breakfast I've ever seen all carbs. Boring ones on top of it. It wouldn't take much to have a crock pot with oatmeal or even a waffle maker. Yogurt would have been welcomed hard boiled eggs etc. It doesn't have to cost more to offer a healthier breakfast choice especially when it's advertised that you have a Continental breakfast. Bagels and white bread with sugary cereal does not make a Continental breakfast. I was extremely disappointed that the pool wasn't filled. I specifically chose this hotel because I was told the pool would be open during my stay. I asked about giving notice and getting a refund because I prepaid. I was told I had to call booking. That was a complete waste of waiting for my turn to be helped 45 minutes later I gave up. I have an autoimmune disease and it causes me great pain especially after a long day so this definitely wouldn't have even been in my spectrum of hotels if I'd known. I asked about a Jacuzzi suite and was told I would have to pay $32 extra a night for 5 nights just didn't fit in my budget. I thought it was really crappy the owner couldn't have offered some kind of discount for me I was in an extraordinary amount of pain my entire visit with family and had to take stronger pain meds so I ended up sleeping through most of the 1 out of 2 times a year I get to spend time and see my grandchildren and children. Because of this issue I'm not sure if I would return if a nearby hotel offered about the same prices with a little better attention paid to the human customer in front of them. Especially if they would work with me if a major amenity was taken away

Disliked: The pool was closed and it never stayed that on the reservation! Also the price said $---and it always shoots to higher amount. Ive stayed there 3x since its close to my grandchild so I have to stay there for the pool. And the price is used to bait u!
