High cost, unfairness to guests,...

Liked: During my previous to last stay, breakfast was included in the booking. This last stay cost considerably more and breakfast was $40 per person extra. Staff was appropriately courteous and helpful. Liked the secure parking and entry and egress worked well.
Disliked: Shower fixtures were antiquated and did not work well. Housekeeping skipped our room one day. The room rate was outrageous, over $200 per day. Full payment was required at booking, which for 7 days was over$1,400. No refund policy for cancellation. If cancellation was necessary, hotel would keep every cent of full payment required at booking. This policy is over the top and is abusive to guests. I did not have to cancel, so I was not victimized by the policy. Had I had to cancel, would have felt victimized. Aging hotels, with policies that potentially victimize guests, days are numbered.
