Major management involvement needed to compete with good LA hotels. Will not go there again.

Liked: Bed comfort; staff; shuttle.
Disliked: Room size; handicapped aids; menus; lack of real restaurant; value.

Although I thought this hotel was beautiful and the staff was friendly, for what I paid I could have gotten much more somewhere else. I thought it was pretty tacky that they charge for overnight parking, it's not like you are going to park for only a few hours. $32 is too much to park when your room is already upwards of $300 for a standard room. Also my pet peeve - one packet of sugar and one creamer might look nice and appointed in the coffee caddy in the room, but not very realistic. Also, if you are sharing a room with someone, make sure to bring your own toiletries, because there will not be enough shampoo for 2 people. But then again, aesthetics are an important part of the illusion of luxury. The rooftop garden was beautiful and peaceful. Location was perfect. Overall good experience but a bit pricey for what is offered, but then again that's LA for ya.

Disliked: As per reception they have big shortage of staff thats the reason no one can makeup your room, can you imagine they fixed bottles of shower gel, shampoo and all were empty. One of the worse 4 start hotel i ever experienced

A very disappointing stay

Liked: It is located in downtown LA. Convenient.
Disliked: It is located in Little Tokyo which is in downtown LA, which means the area will be quite noisy at night with all the cars and people passing by. The hotel staff was unfriendly and the most disappointing thing is that the hotel does not provide free drinking water to the guest. The staff told us we could only get the first two bottles free and we have we pay if we wanted more. This is unacceptable for a four-star hotel (especially it is by Hilton) It is quite pricy but I would say it is definitely not worth the price. The hotel is also quite old and not very clean and the facilities are quite limited as well. Will not recommend this to others.
