A very positive experience in all departments. Had the best sleep ever - great bed and quiet surroundings!

Maintenance on the hotel needs...

Liked: The breakfast was good.
Disliked: We arrived shortly after 11 pm Apr 7. It was difficult to find the hotel because the name on the hotel sign was not lit up. We went to our two rooms (with two queens) and the light switch near the door and also for the bathroom weren't working. In the other room the light fixture was in the bath tub and there was a power drill, tools and two brooms in the room. We went to reception to get new rooms. We needed four queen beds. We then received four rooms near each other with one queen bed. We had an underage child 13 years of age that had to stay in a room alone. In the morning I was unable to take a shower because the bathroom light was constantly flickering. We were on the third floor and waited 10 minutes for the elevator and soon realized it wasn't working. The elevator light was on at the third floor. I started walking down with luggage and noticing both lights on the second floor elevator were on and still not working. I had a hip replacement and found it difficult to carry my luggage down the stairs. The staff were apologetic in the evening and the morning. From travelling a long day, arriving late and being severely inconvenienced I do not know how they can run a hotel.

Liked: Attractive Lobby, Nice room, great value. Very nice breakfast (mainly continental) but with some hot food options.
Disliked: Room was a little small.

Cleanliness and the Wingate by...

Liked: The friendliness if the staff.
Disliked: The room wasn't cleaned. There was a glob of what I hoped to be dried soap on the edge of the bathtub. I wasn't getting any closer to find out. We discovered half-eateb leftover food in the fridge and the complimentary soaps were definitely partially used! Disgusting! Definately not what I paid for!

Disliked: It was older, no carpet and the beds were sagging. The price was appropriate.

Not a pleasant stay I’m...

Liked: Receptionist was pleasant. Breakfast was good. Modern room decor. Smelled ok.
Disliked: Room was inconvenient in many ways. Bed was set on a sheet metal base WITHOUT toe space. So it was hard to get in bed without - BONG - sound like hitting a heating duct with a baseball bat. We could hear BONGs all around us from other rooms too. Bizarre. Room walls were paper thin. We could hear everything said in the next room. Almost no horizontal working space in the room. No desk or dresser, just a tiny bed stand. And not 6” of counter space in the bathroom. We put most of our things on the floor. Bed was soft and there were some kind of little bugs in the bathroom.
