This non-smoking Victorian town house hotel is privately run by Jim and Doreen, offering ample private parking and situated in a quiet residential area, within walking distance of central Dunfermline. There is easy access to the M90 motorway, 22.5 km (14 miles) from Edinburgh, central for Stirling, Perth and Glasgow. The rooms are comfortable, the welcome is warm and the food is superb, freshly cooked using fresh local produce. A lounge, with bar, is complemented by a dining room. Jim and Doreen aim to ensure you have a very comfortable stay that will encourage you to return as a regular guest.The lounge at the Davaar House Hotel offers a bar, with a large selection of fine malt whiskys, spirits, bottled beers and lager and draught lager. The dining room is the location for breakfast, where a selection of cereal, fresh fruit, juice, bread and freshly grilled breakfast is made to order. For dinner, an excellent choice of homemade soups, pate, fresh scallops are followed by Scottish fillet steaks, salmon, sea bass or vegetarian dishes, all served with a selection of local vegetables and potatoes. Homemade fruit pies, meringues and creamy Orkney ice cream are on offer for dessert, followed by a selection of Scottish and continental cheeses. Davaar House Hotel enjoys an excellent reputation for its cuisine, sourcing only fresh, seasonal local produce that means quality at a very affordable price.
