Breakfast seemed to be the...
Liked: The breakfast was the only redeeming thing of the stay. It was great. However they did try to tell me that when I checked in, that the breakfast I paid for online, that said it was included for everybody, really only covered 2 adults. The guy at the front desk told me he was giving me vouchers, but I had no idea where those vouchers were come breakfast.. So I had just showed the lady my booking.com showing that breakfast was included and she didn't charge us the extra for my son. The breakfast itself was great, though if I would have had to additionally paid for my son, we probably would have been better off going to IHop right up the street. But for the $19 it would have been worth it if all of us were included. They had omelettes, pancakes, and waffles cooked to order which were great. The rest of the hot breakfast (bacon, sausage, potatoes, biscuits, gravy all looked good as well! They also had fresh fruit, oatmeal, cereal, pastries. Definitely one of the best breakfasts I've eaten at a hotel...although it wasn't complimentary, which it should be for the price of the room.
Disliked: The room was stinky and not the cleanest. the toilet looked like it could have used some additional cleaning. The man at the front desk had called upon check-in, asking if the room was ok, which was nice. I told him it stunk and he had offered to change us rooms or send somebody with febreeze...we opted for the Febreeze, however, it only temporarily worked. It smelled like coffee had been spilled on the rug, so smelled of stale coffee. The only reason we had booked this hotel was due to the indoor pool. My son (6) really wanted to go swimming. It being early March and not warm enough for an outdoor pool, I figured anywhere with an indoor pool would be heated. This did not seem to be the case. The pool was freezing...My 6 year old was shivering uncontrollably the whole 5 minutes he was in it.Trying to get to the pool from our room was a trek. It's in a totally different building than where the hotel rooms are at...and totally awkward as you have to walk through the lobby and through a bar to pretty much get to the pool. So walking through there and having to walk outside when it's in the 50's was not enjoyable. Walking through a bar area in your wet swimwear was a bit weird, when people are dressed in suits. They certainly didn't seem to think about the design. While it does seem like a cool place, you'd think more thought would have went into guests being able to access the pool and also fitness center.also, upon check in there is a roundabout which shows red along the entire curb. So making it seem like you can't even park there to go check in. Which I didn't, I parked up the street, probably 200 feet away. The parking for the actual rooms is VERY far away from where the lobby is. You'd think they would place signs saying, feel free to park here while checking in...if it's allowed. Also, the Shampoo, Conditioner and Bodywash is HORRIBLE!!!!

Lovely setting, but disorganized layout....
Liked: The location and serene surroundings
Disliked: Travel between buildings up and down slippery steps in the wind and rain. No parking close to canopy where we needed to unload except a fire lane. RoomHad only coffee cups and not the typical water cups. We had to go find a do not disturb door knocker, requiring us to walk through chilly rain to the main check in again. Our first evening we walked through the rain to what appeared to be the restaurant (we could see the bar keeper) and tried the door only to be told we couldn’t come in through that door. It was locked. The bar keeper met us at the locked door and told us to walk around the building to another entrance. Again, if it weren’t raining it wouldn’t have been so bad. She did finally allow us to enter that way to avoid getting even wetter. There were no directional signs from our building telling us definitively which way to enter. The price point for your breakfast was too high. The first day our server brought the requested half and half to us for our coffee in the carton from the kitchen. I asked if he could at least pour it into a cup for us rather than the carton being left on the table. When he poured it the cream came out in clumps. (Frozen-I hope!) He returned to the kitchen and bought out another carton. The high end price you are charging and the beauty of the surroundings was inconsistent with this caliber of service. Were it my facility I would have been embarrassed by the lack of finesse demonstrated. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They just need a bit of polish.
