The seafront, the English Riviera Centre and the theatre are just a short, level stroll from the hotel and there is ample free on-site parking available for guests’ use, with one parking space for each room. Crown Lodge has been classified as M3i (suitable for independent wheelchair users) under the National Accessible Scheme. The hotel’s entrance has ramp access and, once inside, there are no steps to the dining room or to either of the 2 ground floor rooms. The ground floor twin room is most suited to guests with restricted walking ability or reduced mobility, as well as those who simply have difficulty with stairs or who would benefit from some support when using the en suite facilities. The en suite shower room is a wet room with conveniently positioned grab bars and a shower seat. However, the ground floor double room has been designed specifically with disabled guests and wheelchair users in mind. The room has been furnished to a high standard, and has an Adjustamatic double bed. The en suite wet room is spacious and fully accessible for wheelchair users. A shower seat and several grab rails are provided to aid mobility. The following items are available on loan, free of charge, if required: manual/self-propelled wheelchair, tri-walker, shower wheelchair, bed guard, bed raisers, toilet seat raisers, cushion for shower seat and intercom system.
