The hotel staff was more than accommodating and very friendly. The location was perfectly between the beach, a historic district with lots of great places to eat, and the best street for shopping was only two blocks away. There is a lovely little Italian restaurant/cafe (Ciao Bella) down the street a little way and the perfect stop before or after the beach. Lincoln steet is a 5 min walk from the hotel, and it was an 8 minute walk to the beach. The hotel pool on the roof is amazing and great for lounging after laying on the beach all day. Hotel is family oriented and not a south beach party center. Rooms are very spacious. Downside: there was a strip club across the street (interesting 3am crowd), it is at least a 10 min can ride to any upscale club, and it is three blocks inland from the ocean (no view).

Valet is 29.99 a night and you can use in and out all day which was worth it and not having to worry about finding parking or if your meter is going to expired or get a ticket so I would use the valet if you are renting a car. Cabs can get pricey during there busy season. I learned renting a car in Miami is the way to go to have the best experience.
